It is raging currently, several countries in the world are beginning to re-open as they seem not to continue to endure the negative effect Covid-19 pandemic, schools, saloon, sporting activities are re-opening across Europe and Africa.

Nigerian Students on face Masks

In Nigeria the Covid-19 shutdown have lasted for more than 5 weeks and counting, some states across the country are preparing to open up their schools and Universities, Unizik in Anambra State, Esut in Enugu are part of the schools gearing up for resumption.

We have made up a list of things students should not take back to school as the fight against Coronavirus continues.

KIT UP ALWAYS

It is important that you always carry along with yourself liquid sanitizer, Ensure you wear face masks and hand-gloves as you attend lectures, classes and read in library. This will help protect you from getting infected by Coronavirus, because many students before you might have touched the desks, chairs or the books, and some lecture halls in Nigeria Universities is always overcrowded. Be careful.

PARTY LIFE IS NO NO

We all know and believe that having fun and partying is essential for mental health, nevertheless you should avoid partying, you should avoid being in a crowded place, being in a party room or dancing halls is very dangerous and could heavily increase the spread of Coronavirus, being in parties means you will be dancing together, rubbing bodies, therefore the social distance rule have been voided and instead of getting good grades you will might end up getting infected with Coronavirus.

HUGS

I used to hug people a lot, i feel guys love it, they often say am social and this have earned a lot of admiration and favors from them, a lot girls do hug people, but please as you are going back to school avoid hugs, light hugs, heavy hugs, since the spread of Coronavirus can be gotten from body contact, it safe to not to hug rather wave from afar, 2 meters distance.

AVOID BORROW ITEMS

I know this could be very had, because no matter how wealthy you are, you may sometimes be forced to borrow some stuffs, same goes to sharing items, students share a lot, it seems they share everything.
Items may includes writing materials, phone accessories, school bags and maybe cooking utensils, no matter what please minimize it or if you can do not borrow at all, the reason is that Coronavirus can last up to 8 hours on any surface before dying, you can't really tell who's is infected at first glance, please be carefull.

AVOID HANDSHAKES

This can never be over emphasized, even though it was one of the early warning issued by the WHO about curbing the spread of Coronavirus, please don't do handshakes. Some fraternities in Nigerian Universities have their signature handshakes which they always like to flaunt, this is not the time, as you head back to school do not shake people, anchor people or even do knuckle, as explained earlier Coronavirs can spread by contact, and handshake is by contact.

NO FIGHTING

hahaha! oh yes! if you are the type that like fights or quarrel especially at the ATMs, well you know the drill, you might run into a newly infected person who is not showing the symptoms yet, so be careful and stay away from anything that might lead to fight else you will be battling police cell and the deadly Coronavirus, which could possibly lead to untimely death.

DON'T MISPLACE YOUR ITEMS

Are you fond of keep your stuffs any how, this might get you infected with Coronavirus. Personal items like combs, brushes, make-up kits, ear phones and chargers, should be safely secured because people might use them since you placed it carelessly you can't tell if the if it's an infected person that touched it in your absence.

AVOID LONG QUEUES

Long queues which often occurs at ATM centers, banking halls, exam halls must also be avoided, ensure at every instance that you observe the 2 meters distance rules while equiped correctly with nose mask, hand gloves and liquid hand sanitizer. After exams while exiting the exam hall keep a 2 meters distance from everybody, same as the ATM and banking halls especially when you are about to pay your tuition fees.

ABSTINENCE IS STILL REQUIRED

Just like HIV/AIDS commercials preach, abstinence is still very much needed to help contain and minimize Coronavirus, since it can spread with body Contact, having sex with multiple partners will only leave you exposed to Coronavirus, if you must have sex, just as Dutch Authorities suggests find a sex buddy, just a single partner and ensure that you two are safely secured everytime

SEX FOR MARKS

Last year in Nigeria, various articles and revelation arose about University lecturers who offer sex to female students, the revelation was spearheaded by BBC but what was never said was that some female students in the same university also offer sex for marks, whatever that works you, just avoid sex for marks, of course sex involves body contact, you can't be sure if those lectures have not been infected with Coronavirus and thus the infection might be passed on to you. Please thread carefully.
